I am the South Peninsula stockist and facilitator for Clayologie, a locally produced polymer clay. It is a firm non-mineral clay (similar to Plasticine in appearance) that can be baked solid in a domestic oven at 125 °C. There is a large range of over 40 different colours in varying pack sizes, and some accessories.

I have always found knitting and crocheting to relax me after a busy day. I am in my 50’s and found that I make the most amazing little gifts for people and it is appreciated on a different level as it is hand made – just like my grandma used to make.

Alas knitting and crocheting are dying skills and since starting a knitting club with ladies at a home for the aged, I have become quiet involved with ways to keep them busy and allow them to make some money out of their hobby. Their work is beautiful and has stood the test of time.

This business supports the aged that knit on demand and does create a memory in so many ways for anyone involved.

The art of knitting was a pastime that my Gran used to do. I learnt how to knit booties before I was 5 years old, I knitted for the fun and seeing a pattern take shape into a hand crafted piece of art gave me a warm and fuzzy feeling. My Gran used to sell her goods to a reputable chain store and somehow receiving a hand made item always made me feel like I was special and that it was made for me and me only.

As I have got older and realised that I was blessed to be taught such a simple skill. Many people cannot knit and this new venture has opened up giving a Window to Fun, Create your Own Blanket – to be passed down to generations. Although easy to learn I have made it easier for you to give a gift made by your own hand-made personalised options and Make A Memory yourself.
