Walks around the South Peninsula: Kommetjie Block House

The Kommetjie Block house is situated on the top of Slangkop mountain, overlooking the Lighthouse. It was built for the defence of the Radio Station during  World War I and offers the most amazing view over Kommetjie. I love looking down at the going’s on of the town from there, the Kom, the slip way, Longbeach. On a clear day you can see all the way into Hout Bay!

She has worked for more than 20 years as a catalyst for social change and gender equality, aiming to build better communities in South Africa.
