About SPM

South Peninsula Moms is a market place for local businesses to showcase their products and services. Our digital market place gives local micro-businesses a platform to manage their online store without the hassle or expense of setting one up on their own. All businesses listed on the market place have an opportunity to advertise on our closed ‘women-only’ Facebook group with a following of over 7000 members.*

SPM was originally started in 2012 as a closed Facebook group for moms living in the Deep South – Scarborough, Kommetjie, Imhoff, Ocean View, Masiphumelele, Capri, Noordhoek, Fish Hoek, Simons Town, Kalk Bay, up to Muizenberg.

Our aim was to build a platform for moms to share their experiences, gain and give advice and generally provide support for our community.

In late 2014 our website was created to further support the group by providing an additional area to list local businesses, charities, jobs and events.

We are proud to see how our cottage industries in the valley have grown and have adjusted our service offering to support them.

* Note: Only members of the group get access to the group. You need to be a member in your personal capacity to advertise on the group. Anyone who is not eligible to join the group can signup for the managed service where we post your adverts on your behalf.
