How to minimise your makeup routine

Aimee-thbby Aimee Webb owner of ALS Beauty in Sunnydale.

Whether you have no children, 1 child, 2 children, 5 children or your babies have fur, getting ready is never easy. And if we just could minimise the makeup routine, it would make our lives so much simpler. I am going to show you how to do a simple natural eye makeup look for the day at work and then how to change it, without having to start from scratch, for an evening date with your special someone or a girls night out.

What you will need for these looks are an eye shadow pallet with 4 different natural colours, eyeliner and mascara. I am using Avon’s True Colour Mocha Latte eye shadow pallet, Avon’s Glimmersticks Black eyeliner and Lashem’s Double Trouble Mascara.

step01

We are going to start with the second lightest colour in your pallet of eye shadow. Starting from the outside corner of the crease of your eyelid, you are going to brush back and forth just to the middle, about three or four times, then you take it to the inside corner, back and forth three or four times. This way most of the eye shadow is on the outside of your eyelid and makes your eyes appear bigger.

step02

Then I like to apply my eyeliner to the rim of the upper eyelids (the waterline, between your lashes and the ball of your eye), this makes your eyelashes look thicker and it’s a lot easier to do then lining the top lash line with an eyeliner.

step03

I then finish off the look with mascara on just the top lashes.

step04

For the evening look, use the darkest shade in your pallet and go over the shade you did before, add some eyeliner on your bottom lash line and some mascara to your bottom lashes and VOILA you are ready for your evening out!

step05

I hope you have enjoyed my tutorial on how to do a simple natural look and how to change it to an evening look. If you have any questions or want to know where to get some of the products I use please don’t hesitate to contact me at info@alsbeauty.co.za . Enjoy!
